PhD, Harvard, 2012. Political methodology, American politics, causal inference, missing data, and campaigns. Current research examines the long-term effects of slavery on political attitudes in the U.S. South, the effectiveness of negative advertising, and the approach to causal inference in dynamic political situations. His research has been published in the American Journal of Political Science and Political Analysis. He is also working on methods for measurement error and missing data and maintains the R package Amelia for the multiple imputation of missing data. He teaches courses on applied data analysis and causal inference.
