Professor Ellen Matson selected as Scialog Fellow for Advanced Energy Storage

Professor Ellen Matson has been selected as a Scialog Fellow for by the (RCSA). RCSA is a foundation providing catalytic and opportunistic funding for innovative scientific research and the development of academic scientists-advancing American competitiveness in science and technology.
This Scialog initiative involves annual meetings which are attended by about 55 early career Scialog Fellows and 10 distinguished scientific leaders in the field of energy storage, with the goal of identifying bottlenecks, finding avenues for breakthroughs, and building new scientific teams to pursue these ideas. The highly interactive conference format includes a limited number of keynote presentations to outline research challenges, and a number of small group discussions to encourage participant interactions. Participants have the opportunity to form teams of 2-3 Scialog Fellows and write collaborative proposals at the conference to seed highly innovative ideas that emerge from the dialog.
As a Scialog Fellow, Prof. Matson will have the opportunity to be an active participant in the 2018 and 2019 conferences, with conference costs and air transportation covered, and is eligible to apply for collaborative funding.
