Chopin’s Influence: Romantic Central European Cello Music

and pianist Sean Duggan are professors at the SUNY Fredonia School of Music. Ms. Farny performs nationally as soloist and chamber musician, most recently appearing as a concerto soloist with conductor JoAnn Falletta. Ms. Farny’s publications include CD’s and writings; her academic paper, “Worthy of the Canon: Romantic Cello Sonatas by Women” can be read online, and her three recordings include music by French composers as well as under-represented composers. Father Sean Duggan, an ordained priest, is a member of Saint Joseph’s Abbey (LA), and also is an organist, Bach scholar, and concert pianist. He has performed the cycle of keyboard works by Bach many times (16 concerts) and will be completing his 24-CD set for commercial release. He looks forward to several concerto performances across the country this season.
